Adopting a kitten is an important decision, one that will shape many years of your life. This page presents the adoption terms for our Ragdoll and British kittens.
You will find the essential information about reservations, prices, guarantees and legal obligations, designed to protect the adopter, the breeder and, of course, the adoptee.
Administrative details may be less delightful than kitten photos, but they are the foundation of a calm, responsible and successful adoption.

This page covers:

  • The commitment certificate
  • Reservation terms
  • Prices
  • Guarantees

Commitment and Knowledge Certificate: every adoption deserves reflection

Are you planning to welcome a kitten?

In France, the Commitment and Knowledge Certificate is more than a mere formality: it is intended to help future owners make an informed and thoughtful decision about the responsibilities and long-term commitment involved in welcoming a companion animal into their home.

Since October 1, 2022, anyone wishing to adopt a cat or dog must sign this document at least seven days before their kitten or puppy leaves for its new home.

We provide it after explaining the responsibilities associated with identification, care, welfare, and the costs involved in keeping a companion. Adopting an animal is a life-long commitment.

Please note that the certificate does not expire and remains valid for future adoptions.

The process is simple:

  • Download the certificate
  • Read it carefully
  • Handwrite the required statement
  • Date and sign the document
  • Bring it with you on adoption day

You can download the certificate below.

A promise of love.

Reservation

A kitten may be reserved with a €500 deposit once it reaches seven weeks of age. Before then, kittens are still developing: they are born white, markings continue to emerge, and their overall type and conformation cannot yet be properly assessed.

At seven weeks, kittens attend their first veterinary appointment, receive their microchip identification, their first vaccination against cat flu, and undergo a thorough health examination.

Should the breeder withdraw from the sale, the deposit may be refunded at double the amount paid. Should the buyer decide not to proceed with the adoption, the deposit is non-refundable.

If the kitten becomes unavailable due to a serious health issue, the deposit will be refunded in full.

Every adoption is definitive and deserves careful thought

Kitten price

The price includes the full primary vaccination course against feline panleukopenia, cat flu and feline leukaemia, routine deworming, neutering, microchip identification, FIV/FeLV testing prior to departure, the LOOF pedigree and ongoing support and advice.

Companion kittens

All of our kittens are raised with the same care, dedication and affection. A Companion kitten is every bit as beautiful, loving and devoted to its family as a show kitten. The quality of a companion is not determined by colour, markings or show potential.

Price range

  • Companion kitten with minor cosmetic faults that do not affect health or quality of life: €1,650
  • Show-quality companion kitten, depending on colour and markings: 1700 to 2000 euros
  • Show-quality breeding kitten, depending on colour and markings: 2200 to 2800 euros

Breeding kittens

Breeding kittens are rarely available. Great care is taken when selecting the cats that will represent our breeding programme and carry our bloodlines forward. For this reason, they are reserved, at our discretion, for responsible and established breeding homes. All breeding kittens are of show quality.

About Show Quality

A show-quality kitten is considered to conform closely to the LOOF breed standard and may be suitable for exhibition and championship competition. However, success in the show hall also depends on presentation, grooming and the individual preferences of judges. Titles and awards can therefore never be guaranteed.

Guarantees

The kitten must be examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours of collection. The breeder must be notified without delay of any health issue before any claim can be considered.

Please note that a redhibitory defect is a serious hidden defect that existed prior to the sale.

In Practical Terms

Any claim must be supported by veterinary reports, laboratory test results and, where applicable, a post-mortem examination carried out by a qualified veterinarian clearly establishing the cause of death. Outside the statutory time limits, veterinary expenses remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
